Horsin' around
Can you imagine being one of these lucky twerps, having free reign at the Disney Studio in Burbank? They were able to play with the Main Street Vehicles before they made their way to Anaheim for Opening Day. Here's the publicity blurb from May 20, 1955 that accompanied this photo:
Day In Disneyland (seventh of eleven):
Steve seems to be in the Gay Nineties mood while Bob wants to play operator as they inspect a model of a horse-drawn streetcar in the Main Street area. An added attraction, Main Street is an exact replica of a small town's main street circa 1890.
The blurb mentions the Streetcar, but the vehicle they are cavorting with was actually a special horse-drawn carriage seen here in this Christmas Parade from 1957.
