Scholarly Saturdays: Encyclopaedia Britannica & Adventureland, Pt. 5
Not only is today the finale for Adventureland, it also marks the end of this series. As we pick up from last week, we are about to have a second go-around of Schweitzer Falls, aka “The Backside of Water.”
Strange and tropical? I see these plants around here all the time!
Plenty of skulls in Adventureland:
I can almost hear the chanting of the natives...insert pun here.
Our journey is coming to a close.
Susie looks dazed and confused; the wilds of Adventureland were just too much for her!
Many thanks to the Devlins for allowing me to use their filmstrip to scan for all of you to see. FSee more Encyclopaedia Britannica photos at my regular website.
Susie looks dazed and confused, but that's understandable since she had to ride on the "boiler." You can see the newfound respect they have for Susie's fortitude.

Of course, don't you live at Disneyland? ;)
This series must have taken a lot of work. But be sure, I've enjoyed all the er, "education," thanks for sharing all these Dave!
In the next-to-last photo I thought at first that the cast member was checking to see if Susie's arm had a fracture.
ReplyDeleteGreat series!
Funny, I looked at that last slide and wondered why the CM had that death-grip on that little girl's arm. Looks like he's trying to give her an Indian Burn.
ReplyDeleteFarewell Dick and Jane.
Susie is acting like she just aged 80 years during that trip.
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed this series, Dave!
Where are you going to be travelling to on Thursdays???
Come back on Thursday Chris and you'll see!
