1957 Frontierland Duo

Here are two shots circa 1957 from Frontierland. Up first, The Stagecoach barrels through its route, viewing some of the same scenery that guests see on the long-gone Mine Train.

Photo #2 features the Pack Mules, a much more sedate (but sometimes just as bumpy) mode of transportation:

  1. Two Gems today! What a super angle of the Pack Mule loading area - simple yet effective. Where to you suppose shot #1 was taken from, the Mark Twain? Thanks Dave!

  3. Seems they really shifted colors on the rockwork back there didn't they? Here it is more like a dry mud / sandstone and later on I think they started getting the rusty oranges of Big Thunder goin'.

That bully, Jud on the left, picking on that little girl's paper hat. ;) Boy the older gentlemen leading the team on the right sure looks like he came off the ol' cowboy ranch... and he probably did.
