Freaky Fridays @ The Haunted Mansion: Nothing to see here

These photos from May 1963 are not the greatest quality, and frankly...they're a little boring. First up we have The Burning Cabin. It’s so overgrown in this shot that I can't even zoom in for the morbid view of the dead settler.

This second shoot is an even bigger snoozer; just some people on a raft for Tom Sawyer’s Island; in the background, some dumb old building is under construction.

Who wants to see some stupid building getting framed in? Sheesh...some people will take a photo of anything! I'd much rather see a picture of a hippo from the Jungle Cruise...wouldn’t you?

  2. And what's that big warehouse behind the construction? Do they store the wood there (or maybe the actual ride?)BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA (evil laugh)

  5. Yesssss. Except the year must be 1962, not 1963.

  6. HBG2 - The slide is clearly stamped 5/63. Always possible it sat in the camera for awhile, but that's what it says. And only one "s" in "yes."
    ;)

  7. I don't doubt the date stamp, but the slide must have sat in the camera for awhile, like you mention. In fact, it must have been in there for the better part of a year. The building was constructed in 1962 and completed in January 1963. The Major has a nice June 63 shot:

  11. it must've been a warehouse because if it was the real haunted mansion it wouldn't have left empty for years. lol.
