From the same batch as last week’s cast member group shot comes these exterior and interior shots. A Mark Twain special (4 buckwheat pancakes) sounds purty darn good this morning, doesn’t it? How about we zoom in for a closeup, hm?
As we journey inside the restaurant, we see that it really is a beautiful seating area. Light, airy, and full of southern charm. Reminds me of the Court of Two Sisters in New Orleans.
As the Riverbelle Terrace today, the restaurant has undergone a number of changes, but the overall decor is still faithful to what guests experienced back in the 1960’s.

Nice details both old and new! It's amazing how much it's actually still the same, or at least feels the same. The "round" dinning room is just a little fancier now, but otherwise configured pretty much the same. Even the outside looks the same, but didn't they enlarge it recently, where did the enlargement take place?
Its 6:15am and some fresh pancakes sound really good!!!
All I can think about is how good a stack o' pancakes would be! Maybe it is just hindsight, but it seems like folks have fond memories of specific restaurants (Casa de Fritos, the Hills Bros. Coffee House, and Jemima's). Today only the Blue Bayou seems to get any buzz...
Looks like there might be a construction wall outside the windows of the dining room in the vintage shots. And in the second vintage interior shot, there appears to be attraction posters on that wall outside....I think I can make out the Peter Pan's Flight poster.

An amazing set of pictures. Riverbelle Terrace: one of my favorite spots to set, relax, eat a bit and watch the world go by.
