From September 1962 we have this photo of Aunt Jemima and the cast members that worked at her Restaurant on New Orleans Street in Frontierland. I do not believe this particular Aunt J is Aylene Lewis; I’ve included a closeup for you more informed readers to figure out her identity.

What a fine looking cast! I love the bow ties on the gents! What a fantastic photo - WOW indeed - Thanks Dave!
ReplyDeleteSuch atmosphere this must have lent to New Orleans Square! This would be too racially provocative for Disney now. Our collective American history is being rewritten as something very boring and politcally correct. We wouldn't want to offend any potential consumers, now would we!
ReplyDeleteThis almost looks like an old class photo, I wonder if they did these for all of the restaurants? You've gotta find them all, Dave!
ReplyDeleteOh, what a great picture! Love it.
ReplyDeleteFantastic picture Dave! This is time where I would eat there first and then go to Tomorrowland and listen to all the cool music on Fridays and Saturdays. Awesome time!
ReplyDeleteIt's so fun to see the difference in costumes!
