It’s the final post in this series, and just like yesterday, totally random. First up is the Adventureland Restaurant that eventually became the Tahitian Terrace. Hard to believe that the Plaza Pavilion is on the other side of this building!

And three shots featuring the Mark Twain along a very barren Rivers of America. The last shot is somewhat of a mystery to me, as it appears that there are guests in the park. It was either taken at a later date from the others or is part of an early Park preview:

ReplyDeleteAs for the crowds on the Mark Twain, is there any record of Walt giving the studio employees a day to take their family to a pre-opening trial run of the park?
Walt and Lillian celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary at the still uncompleted park on July 13th, along with invited guests. I believe that the train and the Mark Twain were about the only things that were available for people to ride. Could that last picture be from that day?
