ReplyDeleteThe first photo shows how the river cuts into the shore to form a place to moor a boat. There were several of these mooring pockets around the rivers in the early years.

Amazing to see Fort Wilderness as only a few rickety 2 X 4's. i'm wondering if those were placed there to get an idea of the scale of the thing?
