Just like over at the Major’s blog, I unfortunately have to report that with these 2 photos, nothing is going on here. Just 2 standard Columbia and Mark Twain photos. I know...how boring.

'move along; nothing to see here" - you guys crack me up! very interesting and unusual views. just amazing to see this stuff.
ReplyDeleteNeat and kinda creepy... Lots of mud and dirt, the Colombia looks like she has run aground! DO you have a year on these? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteTim - the date is in the title: October 1970. And yes, it is kind of weird seeing these ships in "mud"; and how about that neat slipcover on the Columbia?!?
ReplyDeleteMy mom had a plastic slipcover on the sofa in 1970. I didn't realize Fingerhut made slipcovers for ships, too. Like Mom, they took it off when company came over.
ReplyDeleteWow, you always hear about how shallow the river is, but you can see that it is just about wading depth!
ReplyDeleteWow...the Columbia has been shrink wrapped. Maybe they were getting ready to sell it on eBay!
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic Dave. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteNah, they were just fumigatin' and didn't want to get the water dirty.
ReplyDeleteNeat pics thanks!
