Viewmaster reels are a $%&* to scan, and it has taken me a number of tries to get these to anything near a decent quality. So...for the next few days I will share a few frames from the Mickey Mouse Club Circus set. These 3 views are taken from the Town Square area, and you can even see the signage announcing the never-to-be International Street. Frame one shows the Drum Majorettes of the Lodi High Band. Frame 2 are the famous Mouseketeers, and #3 features some Desert “Sheiks,” leading a camel caravan. I would guess that this film was shot late 1955, as some of the frames show Xmas decor on Main Street.

Hey Dave, these scans came out great! It’s got to be near impossible to work with those tiny slides from the view-master’s. 35mm Slides are hard enough to scan, but these are like 16mm aren’t they? I can’t wait to see the rest! Thanks so much!

They look good Dave! If you have the Tru-Vue version, there are different photos, including the Mouseketeers performing in circus stunts (dressed as animals in some cases). But Tru-Vue was not Kodachrome, so they almost always fade to magenta. Maybe I'll try to scan some anyway just to see what I can do with 'em...
