This undated slide features my favorite round Skyway buckets as well as the Astrojets, WAAAAY before it got remuddled, renamed, removed, and repainted with a metallic gold paint. A nice touch to have the Skyway poster featured in the same shot as the attraction itself.

Nice image of an empty Tomorrowland. The light poles and poster holders are always a treat to see. The design on them is great and I have always threatened to have them reproduced one day.
ReplyDeleteExcellent early image, I always love it when you can still see large areas of undeveloped, virtually unplanted land.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a lot of open space!
ReplyDeleteThese early shots, before the trees and bushes grew in, really show the early importance of the berm to shut out the real world. These days, with 50 years of growth by the trees and bushes, the berm is almost impossible to see anymore, and unimportant, as the foliage keeps the world shut out.
