California Tower

Although I like the results, I do not enjoy painting landscapes and buildings. This particular painting probably took me 2 years to finish; it sat getting dusty in between work sessions. I just get bored; doing a portrait to me is challenging, trying to capture someone’s personality. A building seems less daunting as you have more “wiggle room” for error. This painting is of the California Tower in Balboa Park. Architect Marc Tarasuck purchased this one and used it in the room he decorated for the San Diego Showcase a few years ago.
