The pink furry concoction on this woman’s head is downright scary; it’s downright difficult to look past it and notice the signage for the Golden Horseshoe. Moving along...the Yellow Monorail takes us through Tomorrowland, including a nice scene of the Submarine.
The 4th shot is a nice view of the Parking Lot (just for you, Jordan), and the 5th and final (yes, that’s 5 today, you greedy so-and-so's) pic for today is of the DLand Hotel.

That's gotta be a souvenir hat, the pink fluffy stuff is just too silly. Love the sub photos, and matterhorn is right, the parking lot photo is amazing!

RE: Golden Horeshoe Stan Kenton Pic, The man on sax is Charlie Barnet not Stan Kenton. He performed in Disneylands "Cavalcade of Big Bands" with his orchestra on June 1, 1963. I found a pic of him and the others in the "Cavalcade". I can email it to you if you are interested. DD

ReplyDeleteIt's amazing to think how the enitre area around the DL Hotel is now! Three towers instead of one, with the glass elevator now removed. West Street now sunken below Downtown Disney. Restaurant Row demolished next to the monorail station, which never changed locations but exists now in a whole different world.
