From August 1960 comes this rustic signage on Tom Sawyer Island. I don’t believe these are still there (or maybe they have been updated), as I don’t remember seeing them on my last visit to the island. Their rustic nature really adds to the experience of exploring.

These are great signs, it still amazes me that ordinary people took photos of them!

ReplyDeleteAwesome - just awesome! I have some c. late 1960s shots of that signage - but it is slightly different, as I recall. That's one thing most Disneyland collectors don't realize - that signage (and animatronics, for that matter) are changed out and updated on a semi-regular basis....
