This transparency is from a set of cool 60’s Disneyland views; although I am not positive about whether this is the China & Glass Shop on Main Street, I do know one thing for sure: I wouldn’t buy a single thing from this place! Looks like a bad yard sale. Hey experts—can you identify this place?

Ooooo - that's a bit tough - because it looks like a Main Street shop, but there aren't any clear identifyers there... Patrick?
ReplyDeleteAaaaahhhhhh, I'm guessing with you tangaroa. I will be so bold as to state, "The China Closet" formerly known as Ruggles China and Glass Shop. But there are no clear identifiers, so that is a wild guess.
ReplyDeleteThe only other shop it could be is "Crystal Arts", presented by Arribas Brothers, but this photo shows no crystal (nor the famed glass blower).
I will have to agree with amazon belle and say the China and gift shop (the old Ruggles shop.) I was initially thinking the gourmet shop in New Orleans Square, but it is more gift type items in the photo and the gourmet shop sold more cooking stuff. The big key I think is the Josef Originals figures sitting on the shelf in the middle of the store. Disneyland was one of the major sellers of those items.
