Ben - I feel that your blog post about your desire to have black and white movies from television banned to be extremely ageist and makes me feel uncomfortable. I'm offended.Davelandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10720475138513029144noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29249921.post-27918489796895411262022-06-11T06:51:24.620-07:002022-06-11T06:51:24.620-07:00Pinocchio features 6 Native American stereotype st...Pinocchio features 6 Native American stereotype statues.

To Daveland I was looking at your Pinocchio's Daring Journey ride and I noticed that in one of your photos, it features 2 Native American stereotype statues smoking peace pipes, by Honest John and Gibbons.

Is Disneyland planning on retheming Pinocchio's Daring Journey ride? I'm partially Native American and I find the Native American stereotype statues to be embarrassing and uncomfortable.Crosswalkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16143703656270102392noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29249921.post-60626580762997835042016-02-05T16:36:48.120-08:002016-02-05T16:36:48.120-08:00The Blue Fairy "Pepper's ghost" effe...The Blue Fairy "Pepper's ghost" effect is especially well done, I think.

I agree, this is a good little ride and undervalued for some unaccountable reason.

Even though it was added at the 1983 remodeling, long after Walt's death, it has very much the same feel as the original dark rides.

Thank you, Dave.

JGAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29249921.post-28930060450684192732016-02-05T04:20:39.951-08:002016-02-05T04:20:39.951-08:00It has always bothered me just a little that Pinoc...It has always bothered me just a little that Pinocchio is still a wooden puppet at the end of the ride (as you pointed out). I wonder if the Pinocchio attraction will eventually get "enhancements" added to it like "Alice" and "Peter Pan" did.TokyoMagic!https://www.blogger.com/profile/16340756514811789233noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29249921.post-16166041585966906632016-02-04T11:52:11.476-08:002016-02-04T11:52:11.476-08:00I love this ride, and it is often a "walk on&...I love this ride, and it is often a "walk on"... not sure why it isn't as popular as some of the other dark rides. In my opinion they did this one right!Major Pepperidgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09843598326995116014noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29249921.post-14733983560192123402016-02-02T09:22:02.050-08:002016-02-02T09:22:02.050-08:00I love Pinocchio's Daring Journey. So much to look at there with such a fleeting glimpse.

The Fantasyland dark rides are like the Disneyland Railroad, Jungle Cruise and Mark Twain to me. "Walt" attractions that are the heart and soul of their respective lands. Hope they will always be there at Disneyland. Thanks, Dave.K.
