I remember in...Dave, this looks like a great place. I remember in the sick '70's, so many old places like this were either neglected, butchered or demolished.<br /><br />But now, the survivors have been cleaned up and loved. I missed a chance to travel to Indianapolis and now regret it.<br /><br />I have to travel a bit for work and usually have to stay in "corporate standard" places like Westin or Hyatt due to reimbursement rules, but I always seek out historic places on my own dime.<br /><br />We have recently stayed at the Marriott Courtyards in Philadelphia and San Diego, both in renovated 1920's office buildings, very cool places. Also the Grant Hotel in San Diego comes to mind, as well as Sir Francis Drake in SF.<br /><br />Planning a stay at the Phoenix Biltmore by Frank Lloyd Wright soon.<br /><br />Thanks for these neat pics.<br /><br />JGAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
