So Disneyland would stock the Rivers of America with fish and you could borrow a fishing pole and actually catch a fish. The problem was once a fish is caught, the guest would have to carry it around. And as fish is carried around, it starts to smell. Sometimes the fish were left on rides and the fish smell would linger. Not wanting the whole park to smell like fish, Disneyland stopped the fishing.
