I would think that these were shot with a slower speed film and then "pushed" in processing. The level of contrast seems to bear this out. Just a thought...Stu29573https://www.blogger.com/profile/11476618457938961470noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29249921.post-23435384208107221432016-12-13T09:12:13.167-08:002016-12-13T09:12:13.167-08:00These are exceptional photos, many of them look li...These are exceptional photos, many of them look like photos from a real city.

Thanks Dave.

JGAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29249921.post-7230306848038095072016-12-13T09:10:16.454-08:002016-12-13T09:10:16.454-08:00Patrick - I would tend to disagree on your tripod ...Patrick - I would tend to disagree on your tripod theory as there is basically no blur on the people in these photos. No way Judy Marsh was standing still while performing! Same thing with the people he captured on Main Street.Davelandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10720475138513029144noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29249921.post-28558868047066373712016-12-13T09:00:43.616-08:002016-12-13T09:00:43.616-08:00Given the speed of B&W films in those days I h...Given the speed of B&W films in those days I have to believe that the photographer was toting around around a tripod that evening: there's so very little blur in any of these pics. And notable is the Wonderland Music Company's location right where the Magic Shop is today. I wonder when the transition occurred. These are some great night shots. It's neat to see the evolution of Main Street window displays over the years. I'm floored to see the Main Street horse-drawn carriage out at night. As far as I can remember, those always go away at night. I have no recollection of when they ran these at night or when that policy changed.Fifthriderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06480975804451839176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29249921.post-47582143567992454272016-12-13T07:07:17.932-08:002016-12-13T07:07:17.932-08:00What a treasure these are!
