Market House Interior, April 1960

Vintage interior shots at Disneyland always get me going; this April 1960 Market House image shows guests relaxing and making purchases. It looks very much like an old fashioned market.

This detailed view shows the Red Wagon Inn poster on the back wall. And how about that vintage postcard rack?!?

The poster itself:

This 2000 shot of the Market House shows that the potbelly stove changed at some point over the years.

…and then disappeared in 2013 when Starbucks took over:

I'd buy 5 of every postcard if I could.

I could afford to do that if I had a dime for every time I heard:

"…and then disappeared when Starbucks took over."

@Fifthrider... so true.

I love the old Market House. I remember sitting and playing checkers there with my friend Jerry on my birthday, one rainy December day.

Question for you Dave or Daveland readers, who did the art on the Red Wagon Inn poster. It kinda resembles a Ward Kimball drawing to me. The women in the poster strongly resembles Molly Crum, the love interest of Sea Captain Windwagon Smith. There is a photo of her here, but I don't know if Kimball was involved in this film.
