Back at The Colony Palms

It had been over 4 years since my last stay at the Colony Palms Hotel in Palm Springs, which is my favorite hotel in downtown Palm Springs. For me, it's the Chateau Marmont of the desert. From check-in to check-out, it was an awesome experience thanks to the friendly staff.

The pool is a great size for my morning laps; I even swam again at night (no way I was running in the 100+ degree desert temperatures!).

Next to the pool is the hotel's restaurant, The Purple Palm.

The interior had undergone a major redesign; not as purple as before, but still very cool looking.

Those brave enough to eat outside or sit at the bar stayed cool thanks to the cooling mist that rained down overhead.

The rooms are beautifully designed and appointed. I love the Moroccan influence.

While it was nice to have, rest assured I did not use the fireplace this stay!

How about that floor tile?!? Swoon...

It really is a beautiful property, perfect for a relaxing stroll.

What are you waiting for? It certainly isn't going to get much cooler out there this summer!
