San Francisco Signage

There is nothing like walking and discovering new places with my camera...except at night in seedy areas. Such was a recent occurrence when I was visiting San Francisco. Still, some of the scariest journeys can yield the best results. Do not try this unaccompanied! Besides being a shutterbug, I am a complete vintage signage nerd. Here are a number of great examples I captured on my way to dinner one night. Some may not be so vintage, but I still like 'em!

I love the way the neon illuminates the building, casting its red glow on the bricks.

Most astounding of all, is that all letters are clearly illuminated. One would think this means the owners take great pride in their business. ...or did these flicker and you just caught the one shot where they were all momentarily lit?
