Framed

While sometimes just the vintage-nature of an image makes it spectacular enough; having it well composed is just icing on the cake. Today I present three undated 1950s images from the same photographer who obviously took a little extra time to frame his photos in a creative way.

They were taken from this gazebo that was once on the Rivers of America:

I am totally digging this shot of Storybook Land.

This one was taken from inside the second floor of the Golden Horseshoe:

Compare with the exterior shot to see that the window arch matches:

What do you suppose that first shot was taken from inside? The moving gazebo? the Plantation House? I can tell where he's standing, roughly, but I can't tell what he's in.

Fifthrider, that first photo was taken from inside the camera.

Did you add those two shots of the Bandstand, Dave. At any rate, nice color pic of it from the early days. And thanks, as always...

Patrick - Daveland is Dave...that's me. No elves to add photos for me.

I'm puzzled by the third picture. That's not the same gazebo and the bridge walkway and waterway I can't place. What collection was that pic from? Could that possibly be freedomland?

Sorry D - It's not Freedomland. It's 100% Disneyland. That Gazebo was gone after only a few years.

I do remember the Gazebo, but it was way back in the early 60s.
This guy has the history. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hs9nvnP1HvY

Aw shucks, Dave, of course I know it's all you! I thought I saw today's post first without those two shots, and that you added them afterwards. Sounds silly now: I think the misunderstanding is somewhere between my ears.

A very unusual set of shots and perspectives here Dave. Just where do you find them? KS

Dr. Goat - The gazebo in that video is a completely different one which went from Town Square, Central Plaza, and finally in Adventureland/Magnlia Park. The one featured on today's post was on the Rivers of America.
