Back Home Again In Indiana: West Baden Springs Hotel, Pt. 3

The West Baden Springs Hotel is also a great place to indulge yourself with spa services. Located inside the Natatorium Building (pictured above), the spa looks like something you'd find at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

This area also includes a workout facility for hotel guests:

The hotel boasts two pools. One indoors:

and one outdoors:

Outdoor enthusiasts can play golf at the Pete Dye and Donald Ross golf courses or go horseback riding through the scenic Springs Valley area. The immaculately manicured and landscaped grounds lend themselves to exploration.

I love this fountain with the frogs and the turtles spitting water at each other:

At one time, this structure was the Apollo Spring House, where guests could dip their ladles and take a delicious gulp of sulfur water.

The carved faces on the top are so expressively retro, as if Maxfield Parrish had sculpted them:

The former Hygeia Spring House:

An interior shot of Hygeia:

So concludes my brief tour of The West Baden Springs Hotel. If you ever have a chance to see this place for yourself, please do so!
