1958 in Black & White

These 3 images are from the same batch as the one of the Mr. Toad attraction from Wednesday. The shot of the Castle isn't that extraordinary, but I do love zooming in and seeing a couple having their photo taken. Wonder where that picture is now?

Although these images are undated, I can say that they are from June 1958 to early 1959. As HBG2 was the first to point out, Snow Hill in the background and lack of a Matterhorn mountain signifies that they fall into that time period.

The sunlight aimed right at the camera pretty much ruined this one, but I thought I'd post it anyway.

See more vintage & current Disneyland Mr. Toad photos at my regular website.

I think that Alice shot is 1958. Shouldn't you be able to see the Matterhorn at that angle? And isn't that the tower on Snow hill that supported the Skyway halfway along?

Ackkkkkkk! Oh woe to man; it's the unprotected and unsafe 'vine'. My eyes have seen evil.

So cool!! I loved seeing the Marine in the first photo! Also, the last photo made me feel like I was on the other side of the looking glass, looking out at all the people at the Happiest Place on Earth!

HBG2 beat me to it... you can still see "Snow Hill" in the background, so that makes these from 1958!

3rd in with the "Snow Hill" comment. I agree, 1958. Great pics Dave, rare to see Alice, even in black and white.

I like the Mark Twain shot, there's a sense of drama in it.

Thank You!
