CalColor 1957 at Disneyland, Pt. 4

Across the Rivers of America you can see the Chicken Plantation Restaurant, sponsored by Swift’s. In the detailed view, you can also see the Water Tower for the Disneyland Railroad. Unlike the one at the Toon Town Depot, this one actually works!

Over at Nature’s Wonderland we have a great shot of Rainbow Ridge:

Please be sure to follow the Town Ordinance, otherwise the Sheriff may have to hunt you down!

Last one for today is the Mark Twain:

Strange to see the water tower way over there... wasn't it moved much farther north later?

I was amazed to see that the chicken restaurant had a balcony. I guess they tore it down?? Very cool photos. I think the loading dock for the Mark Twain looks great and the smaller trees make the ship look so majestic. Oh well, I guess things can't stay the same forever!

The Chicken Plantation Restaurant always intrigues me. Such a large and substantial structure yet it didn't even last ten years!

Hey Major is right, that water tower seems out of place?

Nice post Dave, thanks!

Okay, now I'm confused. Is that the train station that we're seeing to the left of the Chicken Plantation? I always thought it and the water tower were both further north (west?) of the Chicken Plantation.
