July 1960 Trip to Disneyland, Pt. 2

All aboard the Monorail for a trip around the park! The Matterhorn still bears its darker color scheme and the Monorail is enough of a novelty that guests stop to gawk. The original Monorail Red sure is a beauty.

Only one Frontierland image from this batch, showing the Columbia rounding the bend, about to unload another group of satisfied guests that have toured the Rivers of America and Cascade Peak.

See more Disneyland photos at my website.

I never realized that the Matterhorn was darker at first, although I have to admit that it does look darker in many old photos now that you mention it!

And the holes behind the waterfall are still present! I have been wondering about that "brick/stone" bridge visible just above the monorail. There used to be two of those...this one and the one facing the Sub Lagoon. This one is gone now and it's just a "rockwork" bridge. Does anyone know when they changed it? It couldn't have been too long ago.
