Trip to Disneyland: April 1965, Pt. 9

Today marks the conclusion of my April 1965 series, and it's a short one. Two shots from the Pack Mule attraction at Nature’s Wonderland. Here you can see our "animated" children riding by Rainbow Ridge.

And what could be more fitting for the final image than a shot of the flag lowering ceremony in Town Square, still a daily event at the park:

For George (and other readers curious to know), here are the closeups of the crate slats on the Tom Sawyer Island treehouse; happy reading! Be sure to notice the carved graffiti:

I hope you all enjoyed this series. Until the next one starts, have a good one! See more Disneyland Frontierland photos at my website.

Thanks Dave – these kids have been great! Their distinctive style and attitude have really set them apart from the usual gurning children in Disneyland photos. I'm certainly going to miss them!

You see the occasional slide of the mules, but you rarely see pictures taken FROM them! Guess riders felt like they needed both hands to hang on.

Thanks for the blow-ups, Dave!

Now I have some research to do...
