Color Shifting in 1958: Tomorrowland

Today we’ve made our way to Tomorrowland and can see two early views of the Autopia. For shot #1, I have included a closeup of the Richfield signage on the attraction.

Let’s board our Skyway bucket at the Station and cruise over the park for some wonderful overhead views, shall we?

The Moonliner and Astrojets sure look great from up here!

Those are some great shots of the Skyway station and that of the Autopia... that fourth image is unlike any other that I've seen. Great stuff!

I'm battling to try restore some slides myself, it's often very frustrating!

Picture #4 shows the old Phantom Boat dock just before Viewliner construction. That would make the date of the image early 1957 or before. Since Viewliner opened in June '57. Great pictures.

Have to agree with Major, that 4th shot is just perfect. Thanks for the view, Dave.

Great series and nice work on the colors! Hey, the first shot of Autopia, is there a two tone colored car? I didn't know they had two tone Autopia cars. Two tone was all the rage in 1956, but at Autopia? Thanks Dave!
