The Devlin Collection: “New” Tomorrowland, 1966, Pt. 2

More amazing construction photos today from the “New” Tomorrowland, courtesy the Devlin family; first shot shows the construction of the PeopleMover track, crossing over the Monorail track. Rumors have been abounding for the last few years that the PeopleMover (or some form of it) will be returning soon. Shot #2 is somewhat blurry, but still a great view of the PM track being built over the Autopia.

Don’t quote me on this one, but I believe this could be the Motor Boat Cruise, drained of its life force…or it could be the Submarine lagoon. Or maybe just a shortlived rock garden attraction of the Future.

Still a few more “New” Tomorrowland photos for tomorrow. See more vintage & current Tomorrowland photos at my website.

Another terrific set! Given how massive the project was, I'm surprised there aren't at least a few more like them... And yes, that's the bottom of the "Fantasyland River"!

Those are really amazing! I recently found a few slides where you can see some Peoplemover construction, but they are nothing compared to these.

Move sweetness, simply stunning! I’m surprised by how much "wood" is used on the round exhibit buildings; I guess I just figured they were (are?) solid metal. Neat how the Motorboat's guide rail is in a trough, I never knew that!

THANKS DAVE!!!!

Wowwee! On the first shot you can see the Howard Johnson Motor Hotel across Harbor...Love to be able to get a 'now' shot of this...Perhaps from the Monorail platform when I'm there in June...

Thanks Dave---
