March 1956: More Frontierland

We are still in Frontierland, dear readers, beginning with this nice overall shot, including a view of the short-lived Miniature Horse Corral.

Next door we find the Trading Post; see anything you want to buy in the window?

Per George's request, I have added some recent views of the same area:

Tomorrow we’ll be finishing up the Frontierland portion of this series. See more vintage Frontierland photos on my regular website.

"Miniature Horse Corral" What was that all about? I must have been asleep that day in Disneyland History 101.

Is the trading post building the same one we have today? It sure looks the same. This area still looks pretty much the same today, neat!

Thanks Dave, I love this series!

The Horse Corral closed in 1957 was replaced by the Shooting Gallery in June.
