Indian Village, 1950’s

These two photos are of the long extinct Indian Village. Now, the only Indians left at DLand are the AA’s along the Rivers of America. There’s something very Stepford about that. Anyway...these 2 shots are from a performance at the Ceremonial Dance Circle.

Does anybody know how often the Indian dancers had to perform? I try to imagine what it would be like to put on the same show perhaps every hour, day after day...!

According to the yesterland website, they performed summers, weekends, and holidays, and there were apparently 6 different dances.

Great pics! Where exactly was the Ceremonial Dance Circle?

I believe it was in the area where Splash Mountain/Hungry Bear Restaurant now exists.
